My First Cup of Tea with Honey from the Hives

Harvested the first hive and got the honey all packaged in bottles ready for sale in the Egg Station.. Guess it ain’t the Egg Station no more…HEHEHE! Decided to take a break and sit and try the first sample of honey.  Definitely not your store bought stuff.  This is dark and robust, heavy duty honey…. Thank you girls!!!  You honeybees… (more…)

Honey Harvest

I’m so excited, I almost can’t stand it.  I’ve ordered the glass jars, found a way to press the honey without a lot of trouble, got a food grade bucket to put the extracted honey, made up labels for the jars…. IT’S HONEY HARVEST TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I hope……..   In a few days when the jars arrive, I’ll don my bee suit… (more…)
