So, the chickens remained on strike and it didn’t make sense to buy new chicks since they have to be 5 months old in order to start laying. So, all the signs for “eggs for sale” have come down and a flyer in the Egg Station has been posted, notifying folks that there won’t be any more soy free eggs available, at least… (more…)
So, I thought things were settling down after I moved the flock that was being eaten by an unknown predator from the back field to the field by the house. But then the hot weather hit… well, what?… 3 days of heat?…. Just enough to put the hens off… the number of eggs produced dropped, and of course, my sales increased. Ain’t that… (more…)
